Discover how our bespoke service shaped crew uniforms for four exceptional yachts

Four distinctive briefs reveal how considered design turns complex demands into complete wardrobes

No two yachts ask the same questions of their uniform. A particular palette, limited storage, an exacting aesthetic or performance under sail can each reshape the brief. These four projects show how Sørensen responds, translating complex demands into distinctive, coherent wardrobes. Much of our bespoke work remains confidential; these selected studies offer a rare view of the experience behind it.

101m MOTOR YACHT — NEW BUILD

A versatile capsule wardrobe designed to keep every journey feeling fresh and distinctive

“I’m going to be on board a lot. I can’t become bored with the crew’s outfits.”

That clear brief from the owner shaped our approach from the outset. Beginning eighteen months before launch, we collaborated closely with the owner’s team and interior designers to refine a series of proposals. The process culminated in a curated, on-model presentation at the shipyard, supported by a carefully edited selection of materials, trims and colours for the owner’s consideration.

With accessories playing a central role, the result was a highly interchangeable capsule wardrobe that could be styled in multiple ways—creating distinctive uniform looks throughout every voyage.

57m MOTOR YACHT — REFIT

A bespoke palette created at speed to complement a newly refined interior scheme

“We love your look, but we’re changing the interior palette to a very specific brown.”

A late change to the refit programme called for a fast, considered response. To bring the crew’s attire into harmony with the revised interiors of this multi-award-winning 57m Feadship, we held an on-site workshop with the owner, captain and chief stewardess.

Working from our library of pre-approved, readily available materials enabled confident decisions to be made quickly. The resulting uniform palette complemented the yacht’s new colour scheme while retaining the distinctive character of our original proposal.

90m SAILING YACHT / REFIT

Timeless craftsmanship and considered design create an enduringly elegant uniform for every role

Provenance, quality and timeless style were central to the owner’s design team’s brief. Their detailed exploration of our fabrics, cuts and construction informed a complete wardrobe for the crew, including the co-development of our more relaxed Maxwell Trouser—designed for men while also considering the fit requirements of women.

By removing non-essential detailing, including embroidery, we created a quietly minimal aesthetic entirely in keeping with the yacht’s character. This restrained approach also established a versatile foundation for future additions to the uniform, helping to minimise redundant stock.

69m SAILING YACHT — NEW BUILD

Performance-led uniforms designed to transition effortlessly from active sailing to elegant guest service

Built to sail and designed with limited storage, this 69m yacht required a compact uniform wardrobe capable of performing in demanding conditions while transitioning effortlessly to more refined moments with charter guests.

Our core styles in technical performance fabrics formed the foundation of the collection. A considered accent colour, inspired by the hull’s signature blue, brought a distinctive sense of identity to a practical and versatile onboard wardrobe.
