Summer was always his season, the one that demands precision, and where there are no layers to hide behind. He is a master of cut and fit, drawn to the challenge of making simple pieces work beautifully in heat, movement, and light.
Wayne refined this craft during his years at Orlebar Brown, where he played an instrumental role in the brand’s early success and helped define a new language for modern resortwear. His approach today is rooted in the same discipline: start with the pattern, question every seam, and let construction lead the design.
The foundation for all of this was set much earlier, in the sun-filled sewing room where his mother worked. That room, chaotic to everyone else, gave Wayne his first sense of vocation and the quiet determination that still drives his work today.
Expertise Across the Board
One of the things we’re proudest of at Sørensen is the breadth of experience within our team.
Some of us come from fashion and understand instinctively how clothes should look and feel. Others know yachting inside out and understand the practical realities of delivering an exceptional service on board. Bringing those two worlds together is what makes the team so special.
The same is true of the way we work. There is a great deal of technical knowledge behind every uniform, but there is also real craftsmanship. The skilled men and women in our factories in Portugal similarly put enormous care into making each garment, while our logistics team works tirelessly to ensure everything arrives where it should, when it should.
